The Office of the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is responsible for the audit of state and local governmental entities and participates in the general financial and administrative management and oversight of state government. The Office is led by Comptroller Justin P. Wilson, a constitutional officer who is elected by the Tennessee General Assembly.

The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to source, hire, and retain quality candidates for employment.

Major responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Creating, managing and executing a recruitment strategy to establish cultural alignment and employee engagement from the first point of contact through the first year of employment.

  • Partnering in the development and communication of a compelling employee value proposition to potential candidates.

  • Developing knowledge of public and private environments as well as hiring trends and technologies to increase competitiveness of the Comptroller’s Office as an employer.

  • Acting as a brand ambassador to potential candidates and assisting in developing brand ambassadors across the office.

  • Serving as a liaison and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to attract and retain quality candidates.

  • Assessing candidates to determine their overall organizational fit.

  • Advising, consulting and leading the job offer process in partnership with the hiring manager.

  • Partnering with staff to promote employee engagement by instilling cultural values and providing support to new hires through their first year of employment.

  • Participating in Human Resource projects and continuous Office improvement initiatives.

This position may be responsible for performing additional duties, as assigned.

Major qualifications for this position include the following:

  • To qualify for consideration, an applicant should have graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience in corporate recruiting is preferred.

  • A candidate should have the ability to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, gain credibility, and be viewed as a subject matter expert in recruiting.

  • An applicant should be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills and be comfortable with working with staff across various levels and divisions within the organization.

  • It is important for an applicant to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.

  • Travel is required for this role and will vary seasonally.

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
